Job summary

Lonestar Forklift is seeking a Field Technician to service heavy equipment and automotive systems in San Antonio, TX. You will diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain machines at customer sites, coordinating with the Service Dispatcher and Parts Dept.

The role requires at least 5 years of heavy equipment or auto repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel regionally. Trade certification is a plus, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region.
• Trade Certification is a plus or asset.
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing/servicing electric engines is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing, and completing routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery.
• Maintaining effective communication with the Service Dispatcher regarding ongoing service jobs and completing tasks timely.
• Discussing service job details with customers and clarifying repair requirements.
• Coordinating with Parts to order and prepare required parts before visiting sites.
• Maintaining documentation such as work orders and warranty paperwork.
• Reporting safety incidents promptly and following safety policies.
