Job summary

Lonestar Forklift, Inc. in Odessa, Texas is seeking a Field Technician to join our Service team.

You will diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment, coordinating with the Service Dispatcher and customers to ensure clear scope and timely repairs. This onsite role requires 5+ years of heavy equipment repair experience, familiarity with hydraulics and electric engines, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry.
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset.
• Relevant trade certification is an asset.
• Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing, and completing routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery.
• Maintaining effective communication with the Service Dispatcher regarding ongoing Service jobs and completing tasks timely.
• Discussing Service job details with customers and outlining repair requirements clearly.
• Coordinating with Parts to order and prepare needed parts before visiting sites.
• Maintaining documentation such as work orders and warranty paperwork.
• Reporting safety incidents promptly and adhering to safety policies.
