Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to travel to customer sites, diagnose, repair, and maintain CAT equipment using a company truck.

You will engage in planning multiple projects, controlling costs, and diagnosing complex issues across engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulics. Qualified candidates have 3-5 years of CAT experience (tech education possible), a valid license, strong MS Office skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic / technician experience (Technical education may substitute for up to 2 years of this experience).
  • Valid driver''s license (used for potential forklift driving and operation of equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and Outlook
  • Ability to stand up to eight hours per day, including twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping, and kneeling
  • Flexibility to travel for extended periods to work with customers
  • Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal
