Job summary

Lonestar Forklift in Longview, Texas, is seeking a mechanically inclined Field Technician (Forklift Mechanic) to join our Service team in Longview, Texas. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of material handling equipment, coordinate with parts and customers, and document service activities on site.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in heavy equipment repair, a valid driver’s license, and readiness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience.
• Trade certification is an asset.
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing electric engines is a plus.
• Aerial platforms and lift trucks experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma and valid driver{"’"}s license with ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Coordinate with the Service Dispatcher and parts department to order parts.
• Communicate with customers to explain repair scope.
• Document service work orders and warranty paperwork.
• Adhere to safety policies and report incidents.
