MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. seeks an experienced Field Technician to diagnose and repair rental power generators, air compressors and HVAC equipment at client sites in the Kalamazoo area.

You will perform on-site maintenance, order parts as needed, and keep thorough service records. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical components, reliable time management and excellent communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to diagnose and repair generators, air compressors and HVAC equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical components like switch gears and ATS.
• Ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively.
• Promptness in commute to work locations.
• Strong communication and listening skills to assess customer needs.
• Proficient in writing detailed service reports.
• Valid DOT Medical Card and CDL A are required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair generators, air compressors and HVAC on-site.

Description

A MacAllister CAT Rental EPG Field Technician would perform maintenance and repair on Rental Power Generators, Air Compressors and HVAC .

A MacAllister CAT Rental EPG Field Technician would perform maintenance and repair on Rental Power Generators, Air Compressors and HVAC .

Responsibilities

• Our Kalamazoo location will report to Galesburg
• Diagnose problems with generators, air compressors and HVAC
• Perform all repairs associated with the diagnosis that is possible out in the field
• Locate and order parts as required. On occasion, this may require you to coordinate with parts-drivers to get the parts you need to your work site
• Write up detailed service reports for both internal and external requirements
• Maintain own equipment
• Build productive customer relationships to benefit all involved

Qualifications

To Qualify, You Should Have

• Proven track record of ability to perform and fix generators, air compressors and HVAC in a timely manner to the quality and standard required
• Strong understanding of electrical components such as switch gears and automatic transfer switches and HVAC equipment
• The ability to self motivate and self manage time
• A record of promptness to get to and from work on time
• Strong ability to communicate and listen, understanding customer needs and performing the work necessary
• Strong writing skills to complete detailed service reports
• A current DOT Medical Card
• A current CDL A
