Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Field Service Technician to implement water and vapor treatment technologies in the field. You will assist Project Managers, review scopes, and apply environmental engineering principles to modify and operate equipment for remediation projects.

Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience and location. The role requires field travel, strong problem solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and field sampling.
• Valid Class C driver's license with a clean record.
• HAZWOPER certification (40-hour) and annual 8-hour refreshers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and document handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M of environmental treatment equipment including pumps, filters, tanks and vessels.
• Understand hydraulics, mechanical functionality, and instrumentation/electrical control schemes.
• Support fabrication and bench/pilot testing equipment setup.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical system issues in field and shop.
• Collect samples and operate field monitoring equipment (PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, etc.).
• Document monitoring results and prepare field reports and data sheets.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA regulations; communicate site conditions to PMs.
• Interacts with clients professionally and wears PPE on job sites.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and stay current with industry trends.
