Job summary

Verdantas LLC in Massachusetts is seeking a Field Technician to support field-based environmental projects and grow their career within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll gain hands-on field experience across drinking water, groundwater, soil, sediment, and indoor air projects while collaborating with experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate’s Degree, and/or trade school preferred
• Experience in facilities maintenance or related fields is valued
• Environmental field experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Install treatment systems and remedial technologies for drinking water, groundwater, soil, sediment, and indoor air
• Maintain automated remedial systems with pumps and filtration media
• Oversee subcontractors on excavation, construction, waste management, and well drilling
• Sample media including drinking water, soil, groundwater, concrete, asphalt, surface water, sediment, indoor air, and soil vapor
• Operate field equipment (GPS, data loggers, survey level, meters) per SOP
• Operate and maintain remediation systems such as groundwater extraction and soil vapor extraction
• Complete field documentation (JSA, field reports, field notes, custody forms)
• Review project plans, RFIs, change orders
• Perform scheduled tests and inspections
• Assist with field testing for engineering evaluations
• Observe and document field activities and prepare reports
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment
