Job summary

Clean Harbors in Sawyer, ND is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to join our safety-focused team. The role involves hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in the field. A valid driver’s license is required and travel may be necessary as we build our regional book of business.

Expect an 8- to 10-hour day with overtime after 40 hours. Training is provided, and hotel and per diem are covered for emergency/project work as

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to the work site.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• On-call availability including weekends/holidays.
• Emergency response readiness; potential extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow Health and Safety policies at all times.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools.
• Wear and properly use PPE, including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures and weather conditions.
• Work in potentially hazardous environments and confined spaces.
• Operate vehicles per DOT and company guidelines.
• Attend compliance and safety meetings.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and access tanks and containers.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
