Job summary

Alarm Systems in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a low voltage alarm/security technician to diagnose, install, and service security and access control systems. This full-time, in-person role requires traveling occasionally and performing tests to ensure proper operation.

You will install CCTV/IP cameras, read blueprints, terminate low-voltage cabling, and conduct preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience in electronic security and strong troubleshooting with the ability to lift 50

Qualifications

• Experience in Electronic Security, Data/Network Cabling, or related low-voltage fields preferred.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical/mechanical documents preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair alarm/intrusion and fire systems.

Our innovative and growing company is seeking candidates to join our team for a low voltage alarm/security technician! To join our team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications below.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair alarm/intrusion and fire systems.
• Install, troubleshoot and configure Access Control Systems.
• Installing and repairing CCTV & IP based Camera Systems & NVR's.
• Readjust equipment, repair, or replace equipment and test for operation.
• Ability to travel overnight for consecutive days as needed to repair, fix, install, and test equipment.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on systems.
• Run and terminate low voltage cable.
• Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions.
• Respond to customer service calls and perform scheduled maintenance calls.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the Electronic Security Industry, Data/Network Cabling, or other related low voltage fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, pull wire.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents is preferred.

The starting wage in this ad is reflective of minimum wage - Pay is commensurate with experience and will be discussed during the job offer & interview phase.

Job Type: Full-time

Wage: From $24.00 per hour based on experience.

Experience:

• Electronic Security: 2 years (Preferred)
• Existing industry-related certifications accepted.
• Data/Network Cabling, or other related low voltage fields also excepted.

Valid Drivers License and the ability to be insured.

Must pass a standard background check.

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Preferred)
