Job summary

Alarm Systems Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a low voltage alarm/security technician to join our growing team. You will diagnose and repair alarm, intrusion and fire systems, install access control, and configure CCTV/IP cameras and NVRs.

This full-time, in-person role requires the ability to travel overnight up to 50%, lift 50 pounds, read blueprints, and work with hand and power tools. Wage starts at $24 per hour and is commensurate with experience; benefits include 401(k), health and dental

Qualifications

• 2 years in electronic security, data/network cabling, or related low voltage fields preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and pull wire.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, architectural, mechanical and electrical documents.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to be insured; pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair alarm/intrusion and fire systems.

• Diagnose and repair alarm/intrusion and fire systems.
• Install, troubleshoot and configure Access Control Systems.
• Installing and repairing CCTV & IP based Camera Systems & NVR’s.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Electronic Security Industry, Data/Network Cabling, or other related low voltage fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to handle physical workload.

• Be able to lift 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, pull wire.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents is preferred.

The starting wage in this ad is reflective of minimum wage - Pay is commensurate with experience and will be discussed during the job offer & interview phase.

Wage: From $24.00 per hour based on experience.

• On call

Ability To Commute/relocate

• Milwaukee, WI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience

• Electronic Security: 2 years (Preferred)
• Existing industry-related certifications accepted.
• Data/Network Cabling, or other related low voltage fields also excepted.

Valid Drivers License and the ability to be insured.

Must pass a standard background check.
