Job summary

Fastenal in Denton, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician/Driver to install, service and test FMI devices, traveling to customer facilities in a company vehicle. You will provide world-class customer service, train customers, and ensure safety and quality in every task.

Qualifications

• Possess a current full valid driver’s license and meet Fastenal driving record requirements.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a Health Card or have the ability to obtain one.
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements and DOT Hours-of-Service.
• Be willing to drive interstate routes across state lines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer-service oriented.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various Fastenal locations and customer facilities to install and service FMI devices.
• Assemble, clean, recondition and test devices using work instructions.
• Test and repair mechanical and electrical components of the devices.
• Train customers on device and software usage.
• Complete checklists to ensure process steps are followed.
• Communicate with the department manager and Fastenal team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; comply with safety regulations.
