Overview

About the Role – Field Technicians support our Deployment Operations team across partner locations to set up, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues. You will work with tickets submitted via our Support Portal for on-site troubleshooting and resolution. You will also provide feedback on hardware and software in the field. Caper provides all necessary tools and instructions. You will collaborate with teammates to contribute ideas and processes to improve grocery operations.

About the Team –

The Deployment Operations Team manages the hardware lifecycle from arrival to delivery and support, ensuring minimal downtime for retailers.

Description

• Unpack and conduct quality checks of incoming carts and hardware at retailer locations.
• Configure/update software and set up hardware per retailer needs.
• Pack and ship replacement carts and hardware back to the warehouse.
• Provide hardware feedback from warehouse and field to the hardware team.
• Travel may be required, including overnight stays.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of Wi-Fi setup, configuration, and router wiring.
• Experience with communication tools like Slack, Google Sheets, and email.
• Ability to troubleshoot intermittent problems and assist software support.
• Quick learner, able to follow procedures.
• Ability to work in retail/grocery environments and lift up to 40 kg.
• Proficient with battery-powered tools.
• Meticulous in tracking materials and serial numbers.
• Creative problem solver and team player.
• Owns a vehicle and willing to travel within the U.S.
• Prioritizes safety.
• Interest in working with new technology hardware and software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

The pay rate for this role is $40/hr.
