Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Construction Staff Field Technician to support field testing for defense projects at Kirtland AFB and White Sands Missile Range.

You will assist engineers and technicians in fabricating test articles, welding, carpentry, machining, concrete placements, and surveying in outdoor environments. The role requires hands-on construction experience, ability to read design drawings, lift 50 lbs, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in general construction.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation.
• Welding ability with certification.
• Carpentry and concrete placing/finishing skills.
• Ability to read design drawings.
• US citizenship and DoD security clearance eligibility.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Support field testing at DoD sites.
• Fabricate test articles; perform welding and carpentry as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment and conduct site cleanup.
