Job summary

Intertek is seeking an entry-level CMT Field Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina to perform field testing on soil, concrete, and other construction materials at active sites.

You will observe site activities, document results, and work with plans and field data while following safety procedures. Training is provided; a driver’s license is required for travel, with opportunities for overtime and advancement into senior tech or project roles.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training will be provided.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required.
• Effective communication (written, verbal, listening) and interpersonal skills required.
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills required.
• Ability to read and understand work plans is required.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Observe site activities and document results.
• Work with construction plans, specs, and field data.
• Communicate with project teams and clients.
