Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician in Nashville, TN to join the Intertek-PSI team. The role involves performing a variety of field and lab tests, observations, and site assessments under supervision, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.

The successful candidate will have 2 years of construction materials testing experience, strong math and computer skills, and the ability to read and interpret work plans.

Qualifications

• Two years of construction materials testing experience required.
• Basic Math, Calculator and Computer Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
• Must be able to read and understand work plans

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, project observations and site assessments under supervision or controlled procedures.
• Operates testing equipment and conducts tests (soil, concrete, etc.) and reports data.
• Works using drawings, specifications and diagrams.
• Observes site activities using defined methods and documents results in detail.
• Maintains comprehensive records of test data and results.
• Calculates mathematical test results with a calculator.
• Communicates effectively with clients and project teams.
