Job summary

Cook & Boardman, LLC is seeking a Field Technician responsible for installing wireless access points, CCTV cameras, NVRs, and full structured cabling in commercial environments. You will work across copper, fiber, and low-voltage systems, install pathway systems, and document installations with accuracy.

You will read blueprints, terminate cables, and test connections while coordinating with project managers and lead technicians. A valid license and certifications in VMS and cabling are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Certification in at least one VMS system required.
• Certification in at least one structured cabling system required.
• At least one year’s experience as an Installer or equivalent.
• Successful pass of background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install structured cabling systems (copper, fiber, low-voltage)
• Install network switches, wireless access points and other IP devices
• Install CCTV; analog and IP cameras
• Install NVRs and VMS platforms
• Install cable pathway systems
• Terminate, test, label and document cables
• Collaborate with lead technicians and project team
• Perform project commissioning and testing
