Job summary

Velocity1 is seeking a Field Technician to install and maintain AV, security, and network systems on customer sites in the mid-state region, with occasional travel to neighboring states. Expected to drive, install cabling, configure basic systems, and train users while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy equipment. CTS certification is preferred and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass background checks and obtain security clearances as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive to customer locations and assist with the delivery, staging, and handling of AV, Security, Networking, and Fiber equipment.
• Install structured cabling and equipment to specification, including copper and fiber cabling, dressing racks, mounting devices and displays, and labeling pathways.
• Assist with basic system configuration and programming under direction, such as loading profiles and entering IP information.
• Perform basic system testing and document results clearly and accurately.
• Support end-user training by demonstrating core system functions and providing quick-start guides.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow safety policies and presentation standards.
• Collaborate with Field Engineers and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
