Job summary

Alliance Consulting in Washington and Utah is seeking Field Technicians to support engineers on active project sites, performing field observations, measurements, and documentation from early construction through closeout. You will work outdoors in varied weather, read drawings, coordinate with contractors, and assist with surveying tasks, with mentorship from licensed engineers.

• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and field inspections on civil and infrastructure projects.
• Document field conditions, contractor activities, and daily progress through written reports and photographs.
• Collect field measurements and data to support engineering analysis and design verification.
• Assist with surveying tasks and utility locating as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and municipal representatives on-site.
• Flag issues, non-conformances, or safety concerns and communicate them clearly to the project team.
• Support project closeout documentation and punch-list work.

Our team works on a diverse range of public and private projects, including land development, transportation and roadway infrastructure, municipal improvements, water resources, utilities, surveying, and construction management.

The role

Field Technicians at Alliance work directly on active project sites, supporting engineers and project managers from early construction phases through project closeout. You'll be in the field most days — observing, documenting, and communicating what's happening on the ground so projects stay on track and on spec.
