Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a field technology technician to support layout, data capture, and verification on active construction sites. You will use instruments and digital tools to collect, analyze, and report field data, contributing to project accuracy and productivity.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in field technology or construction layout, a high school diploma, OSHA 10 certification, and ability to operate total stations and LiDAR scanners safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Performs layout verification, LiDAR scanning, and digital data collection to support construction accuracy and documentation.
  • Sets up, calibrates, and operates total stations, scanners, and other field technology instruments in accordance with project specifications.
  • Processes and reviews scan or layout data to identify discrepancies and communicates findings to field teams.
  • Maintains equipment inventory, conducts regular inspections, and reports service or maintenance needs.
  • Supports implementation of field technology workflows on job sites to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Provides basic training and guidance to less experienced technicians on proper tool usage and safety protocols.

Job Summary

Performs field technology activities related to layout, data capture, and verification in support of construction operations. Uses instruments and digital tools to collect, analyze, and report field data, contributing to project accuracy and productivity. Applies working knowledge of construction technology systems to complete moderately complex tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience

2-4 years of experience in field technology, construction layout, or a related field required.

Certifications and Licenses

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification required.
