Position Overview
As a Sparklight Field Technician you will install, repair, and relocate services in residential and commercial properties, ensuring reliable connectivity for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and commercial properties.
- Use electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot customer service drops, diagnose and repair reception performance issues, and resolve problems from the customer’s equipment to the first distribution amplifier.
- Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination on the customer’s premises.
- Proactively suggest upgrades of existing services and educate customers on the use of their new or existing equipment.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support company goals and adhere to organizational values.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record in the applicable state.
- Aptitude and ability to learn use of RF, digital and Volt‑Ohm meters and related equipment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and be on‑call as required.
- Strong problem‑solving skills; ability to listen to customers and present solutions positively.
- Ability to work in small, confined areas; lift up to 80 lbs.; work on a ladder; work in all weather conditions.
- Minimum of 3 months of customer service or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
