Job summary

Protect Environmental is seeking a Field Technician to join our Radon Mitigation team. You will install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems, educate customers on operation and maintenance, and troubleshoot field issues.

A company vehicle is provided for daily local travel, and there is paid training for candidates without radon experience. We offer competitive pay up to $25-$26 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is a plus.
• This job operates primarily in a field environment with walking, climbing ladders and lifting equipment.
• Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds and stand up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within the required timeline.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems, support customers by teaching them how to use their equipment, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure all work aligns with company standards and procedures.

We Think You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands‑on work
• Have 1 or more years of experience in Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance is preferred.

• Are comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Minimum Requirements:

• This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, climbing ladders and lifting of equipment.
• The job requires good physical health and ability to perform hands on construction work.
• Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
• Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
• Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
• Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within required timeline

$24 - $28 an hour
