About the Opportunity

Are you looking for a role that gets you out in the field, puts your technical skills to the test, and places you at the heart of the clean energy movement?

Our client, a top-tier, rapidly growing clean energy company, is changing the way power is delivered across the U.S. With a portfolio spanning rooftop, canopy, and ground-mounted solar, battery energy storage, and EV infrastructure, they’re leading the charge on smarter, cleaner, and more resilient energy systems. And now, they’re looking for Energy Optimization Technicians to join their high-impact team.

This is your chance to work hands-on with advanced solar and storage technology, contribute to projects that serve schools, communities, and major businesses, and make a real difference in how our energy future is built.

This role goes beyond maintenance—you’ll bring systems to life, keep them running at their best, and be a trusted technical resource on the ground.

  • Partner with project teams to carry out detailed commissioning plans.
  • Conduct field testing, diagnostics, and equipment validation on PV and energy storage systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and accurately to ensure systems meet performance expectations.
  • Deliver clean, timely reports and documentation.

Operations & Maintenance: Keep It Strong

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and on-demand corrective work across commercial-scale solar + storage systems.
  • Work with string inverters, combiner boxes, DAS, trackers, and more.
  • Use advanced tools including thermal imaging and insulation resistance testing to optimize performance.
  • Ensure safe, compliant operations on every site, every time.

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of experience in solar, electrical, or energy systems field work (or technical training with drive to grow).
  • Proficient with electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and system design interpretation.
  • Familiar with commissioning, operations, and maintenance of commercial-scale PV and battery storage systems.
  • Independent, reliable, and solutions-focused—ready to roll up your sleeves and own your day.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
  • Committed to safety and quality with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willing to travel throughout Massachusetts and occasionally beyond. On-call availability a plus.

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive hourly pay + performance-based bonuses
  • 100% employer-paid medical and dental insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Company truck, tools, and equipment
  • Paid industry training and certifications
  • Career growth opportunities in a mission-driven, fast-scaling clean energy company
