Job description

Field Technician - On Wing Services

Location: Indianapolis, IN (5 openings)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Technician Level III to join our team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will support business and civil large aviation customers at our repair station shop, providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul services on aircraft engines. Requirements include passing a required eye exam, lifting engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, and traveling domestically and internationally up to 40% as needed.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Follow work scope instructions from our Maintenance Operations Center
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble engines and modules at an intermediate level
  • Use troubleshooting logic to identify defects
  • Access and utilize engine data manuals such as AMM, EMM, IPC
  • Interpret and apply Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives, and Technical Variances
  • Work occasional evening shifts and overtime as needed
Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience OR
  • Associates Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • FAA Airframe & Power Plant License
  • Ability to pass FAA eye exam
  • Ability to lift components up to 50 pounds
  • Successful completion of FAA/DOT background check and drug screening
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Rolls-Royce gas turbines
  • Customer relations experience
  • Familiarity with aircraft logbooks
  • Experience in FAR145 repair stations
  • Ability to lead as directed
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
