Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Field Technician role. The Field Technician will install, test, and maintain structured cabling and low-voltage systems at customer sites, following detailed deliverables and industry standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, performing routine inspections, documenting work performed, and ensuring clean, accurate installations. The role involves working closely with project managers and other technicians to coordinate schedules, meet project milestones, and adhere to safety and compliance requirements. The Field Technician will interact with clients on-site, provide clear updates on progress, and support system upgrades or modifications as needed.

Qualifications
  • Experience with installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts and hardware, including switches, routers, and patch panels.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for cabling, connectivity, and device-level issues.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Comfort working on ladders, in confined spaces, and with hand and power tools.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams and interacting with clients on-site.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documenting work and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Redmond, WA.
  • Prior field technician or related experience in telecommunications, electrical, or low-voltage installations preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications (e.g., BICSI, low-voltage or networking certifications) are a plus.
