Field Technician

Precision Staffing is seeking Field Technicians for a well‑known industrial service operation in the Galion, Ohio area. In this role, you will support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial rotating equipment and mechanical systems at both shop and customer sites, including pumps, motors, alignment, inspection, and general mechanical service work.

• Pay: $24.00 per hour
• Shift: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES OF FIELD TECHNICIAN

• Assist with installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery
• Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment
• Inspect components for wear, vibration, and alignment issues
• Support troubleshooting and repair of pumps, motors, and related systems
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Work alongside experienced technicians on job sites and in‑shop
• Support industrial and wastewater service work
• Maintain accurate service records and parts documentation
• Follow all safety and PPE requirements
• Participate in ongoing training

QUALIFICATIONS OF FIELD TECHNICIAN

• High school diploma or GED required
• Mechanical aptitude or technical training preferred
• 2–4 years industrial maintenance, mechanical, or field service experience preferred
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with pumps, motors, or rotating equipment preferred
• Ability to use precision measuring tools
• Ability to read mechanical drawings/schematics
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and safety focus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record required
• Willingness to travel regionally as needed
• Ability to work independently and in a team
