Job summary

Protect Environmental is seeking a Field Technician for its Radon Mitigation team. You will install, repair, and maintain radon systems, educate customers on operation, and troubleshoot in the field to ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance preferred.
• Able to lift 60 pounds and perform hands-on field work.
• NRPP certification for radon mitigation to be obtained within required timeline.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and post-installation testing.
• Educate customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and workspace.
• Occasionally perform light digging or excavation at job sites.

In this role, you’ll install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems, support customers by teaching them how to use their equipment, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure all work aligns with company standards and procedures.

We Think You're a Great Fit If You:

• Are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands‑on work
• Have 1 or more years of experience in Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance is preferred.
• Take pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Can work independently and follow established procedures
• Are dependable, organized, and punctual
• Are comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is a plus
• This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, climbing ladders and lifting of equipment.
• The job requires good physical health and ability to perform hands on construction work.
• Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
• Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
• Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
• Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within required timeline

$20 - $25 an hour
