Job summary

NTG Staffing seeks an Environmental Field Specialist to support vegetation surveys, ecological assessments, habitat evaluations, and oil & gas remediation projects across the Permian Basin and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Biology or Environmental Science, with 2–5 years of field experience, strong plant ID skills in arid ecosystems, and GPS/GIS proficiency (ArcGIS Pro or QGIS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience with vegetation surveys, ecological assessments, habitat monitoring, or environmental remediation.
• Strong plant identification skills in arid and semi-arid ecosystems.
• Experience with GPS/GIS data collection and proficiency in ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, maps, and regulatory documentation.
• Comfortable working independently in remote field environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vegetation surveys and ecological assessments.
• Evaluate habitats and monitor status of ecosystems.
• Assist with oil & gas remediation projects and related field activities.
• Prepare maps, reports, and regulatory documentation for clients.
• Travel to remote field sites and work independently in varied terrain.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Botany, Ecology, Environmental Science, Rangeland Management
• 2–5 years of experience with vegetation surveys, ecological assessments, habitat monitoring, or environmental remediation
• Strong plant identification skills, particularly in arid and semi-arid ecosystems
• Experience with GPS/GIS data collection and proficiency in ArcGIS Pro or QGIS
• Ability to prepare technical reports, maps, and regulatory documentation
• Comfortable working independently in remote field environments

Preferred

• Experience with BLM, NEPA, NMSLO, or oil & gas remediation project
• Knowledge of rangeland monitoring protocols and habitat restoration
