Job summary

NTG Staffing is seeking an Environmental Field Specialist for work in the Permian Basin and surrounding areas. The role focuses on vegetation surveys, ecological assessments, habitat evaluations, and oil & gas remediation projects.

  • Comfortable working independently in remote field environments.

Now Hiring: Environmental Field Specialist | Permian Basin

We're seeking an Environmental Field Specialist to support vegetation surveys, ecological assessments, habitat evaluations, and oil & gas remediation projects throughout the Permian Basin and surrounding areas.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Botany, Ecology, Environmental Science, Rangeland Management, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience with vegetation surveys, ecological assessments, habitat monitoring, or environmental remediation
  • Strong plant identification skills, particularly in arid and semi-arid ecosystems
  • Experience with GPS/GIS data collection and proficiency in ArcGIS Pro or QGIS
  • Ability to prepare technical reports, maps, and regulatory documentation
  • Comfortable working independently in remote field environments
Preferred
  • Experience with BLM, NEPA, NMSLO, or oil & gas remediation project
  • Knowledge of rangeland monitoring protocols and habitat restoration
