Job summary

Protect Environmental is seeking a Field Technician to join our Radon Mitigation team. You will install, repair, and maintain radon systems, troubleshoot in the field, and educate customers on operation and maintenance.

You will work in a field setting with a company vehicle, receive paid training, and enjoy health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and paid holidays as part of our benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1+ year experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is preferred.
  • Physically able to walk, lift 60 pounds, and work in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record is required.
  • NRPP certification for radon mitigation within required timeline.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and post-installation testing.
  • Educate customers on system operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and workspace.
  • Occasionally perform light digging or excavation at job sites.
  • Document job details according to company policy.
  • Represent Protect Environmental professionally and address customer needs.
  • Respond promptly to service requests.

We're seeking a Field Technician to join our Radon Mitigation team. In this role, you'll install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems, support customers by teaching them how to use their equipment, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure all work aligns with company standards and procedures.

We Think You're a Great Fit If You:
  • Are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work
  • Have 1 or more years of experience in Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is a plus
  • This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, climbing ladders and lifting of equipment.
  • The job requires good physical health and ability to perform hands on construction work.
  • Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
  • Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within required timeline
