HP is seeking a Field Service Technician specializing in HP Indigo Digital Printing Presses. You will be the face of HP at customer sites, delivering on-site service, diagnostics, and repairs, traveling from a home base in the greater South Carolina area to ensure printing solutions run flawlessly.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, knowledge of digital press technology, and the ability to train customers and coordinate with installation projects.

• Project Execution: Follow installation and escalation plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Proactive Support: Use monitoring tools to identify and prevent potential issues before they impact operations.
• Customer Engagement: Provide clear updates, resolve concerns promptly, and maintain high satisfaction levels.

What You’ll Do

• Install & Configure: Set up HP Indigo Digital Printing presses, including hardware, software, and network components.

What You Bring

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of digital printing press technology
• Solid computer/networking skills
• Education & Experience:
• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence
• Typical candidate possesses 4-6 years in field service, technical support, or printing press repair
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Other Requirements:
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift, bend, and stoop throughout the day
• Specialized Skills:
• HP Indigo knowledge
• Printing industry knowledge
• Ability to integrate hardware/software solutions

Location:

Candidate must reside in the greater Illinois area. This is a field-based role with 80% travel to customer sites. Travel distances will vary day-to-day.
