Job summary

Celanese Engineered Materials is seeking a Field Technical Service engineer with strong polymer processing experience to join the Americas FTS organization. Remote work is acceptable with ideal locations in MI, IL, WI, MN, IN or OH.

The role involves solving polymer processing issues, designing experiments, documenting results, and collaborating with product teams and the commercial group. Travel up to 80% to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of polymer processing experience required; BS in related discipline preferred.
• Hands on practical experience operating injection molding equipment; experience in other processing methods in addition to injection molding is a plus.
• Expertise in polymer materials and plastics processing; work experience supporting OEMs or tiers directly is a plus.
• Proficiency in tool and/or plastic part design, CAD, or process simulation tools is a plus.
• Readiness to travel up to 80% to customer or Celanese sites.
