Duro-Last Roofing, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope, seeks a QA Tech Rep I (Roofing Inspector) for the Columbus, Ohio area. This full-time, year-round role includes a company vehicle, cell phone, tablet and expense account. You will inspect roofs, issue warranties, and train contractors.

The position requires 2–4 years of roofing/QA experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and willingness to travel regionally. Physical demands and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in commercial low-slope roofing, construction, roof inspection, or QA.
• Strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation and communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; able to travel regionally.
• Able to pass physical agility test, drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roof installations for quality and workmanship.
• Issue roof warranties per Duro-Last specs.
• Make repairs to Duro-Last roofs.
• Conduct on-site training for contractors.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Duro-Last Roofing, the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a QA Tech Rep I (Roofing Inspector) in the Columbus, Ohio area. This is a full-time, year-round,salary-based position with a company vehicle, cell phone, tablet and expense account provided.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Physically inspect roof installations for quality and workmanship.
• Issue the roof warranty in accordance with the Duro-Last specifications.
• Make repairs to Duro-Last roofs.
• Conduct on-site training classes and offer guidance to contractors in proper roof installation.
• Provide support to Duro-Last contractors and sales reps in territory.
• Schedule inspections and repairs and prepare reports for warranties.
• This is a physically challenging position that requires bending, lifting, pulling, climbing, etc.
• Other job duties as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Two to four years of experience in commercial low slope roofing, construction, roof inspection or quality assurance is highly desirable.
• Individual must be equipped with strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation and communication skills (both orally and written).
• Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Demonstration of strong work ethics (punctual, dependable, and trustworthy) is necessary.
• The ability to complete responsibilities and operate equipment conforming to company production, personnel and safety procedures is needed.
• The ability to read and comprehend roofing specifications.
• Must be able to communicate and handle conflict in a professional manner.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (MVR).
• Must be willing to do extensive regional travel.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to pass a physical agility test, drug screen & criminal background check.
