Invenergy LLC is seeking a Field Technical Representative to support the O&M team across the balance of plant, including tie-lines, substations, and civil works. You will work with technicians and contractors, ensuring procedures meet company and regulatory standards while maintaining high safety and reliability.

You may climb towers, work outdoors in varying weather, and travel up to 25%. Base pay ranges from $82,000 to $103,000 annually with a 15% bonus and a strong benefits package including

• Experience supporting field operations for electrical or energy projects.
• Knowledge of high voltage systems and safety standards (34.5 kV / 345 kV).
• Proficient with CMMS and Microsoft Office; strong written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the O&M manager in day-to-day field activities with technicians and contractors.
• Prepare operating procedures and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Operate and maintain high voltage equipment; inspect and assess installations.
• Climb wind turbine towers as needed and adhere to safety requirements.
• Review engineering drawings and understand Balance of Plant components.
• Manage inventory, tools, facilities, and parts; communicate improvements.
• Assist in proposals, budgets, and contractor scope evaluation.
• Produce inspections and reports in a professional manner.

Position Overview

As the Field Technical Representative you will assist the O&M manager all aspects of the day to day activities of technicians and contractors within the balance of plant requirements; including generation tie-line, substation, collection system, pad mounted transformers, civil works/foundations/roads, facility grounds, environmental and land owner relations.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Responsive and able to manage to deliverables and contractual obligations, while interfacing with varying parties internally and externally with competing interests.
• Prepare and implement operating procedures, complying with company, customer, and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements.
• Operate and maintain high voltage electrical equipment through known maintenance practices.
• Climb wind turbine towers, on a limited basis, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions as well as engineering drawings of all components in the Balance of Plant system.
• Maintain inventory, tooling, facilities, equipment and parts.
• Identify, document, and communicate opportunities for operational and quality improvements.
• Obtain, compile and analyze information to properly identify course of action for proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise, while working with minimal oversight.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, budgets, labor costs and reports. Evaluation and supervision of contractor scope, proposals, and repair work.
• Perform required inspections and reporting in a professional and effective manner.

Qualifications:

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of 34.5 kV and 345 kV systems including but not limited to; protection relays, padmount transformers, fault identification, maintenance requirements, NERC, OSHA and Electrical Safety requirements.
• Experience utilizing CMMS system to maintain equipment records and reporting.
• Knowledge and experience with high voltage tooling and protective equipment.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds). Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Travel up to 25%. Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• This is a safety sensitive position. Individuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result to begin working for the company.

Base Pay$82,000.00 - $103,000.00 USD AnnualBonus: 15% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
