Job summary

Invenergy, LLC, North America’s largest privately held developer, owner, and operator of power infrastructure, seeks a Field Technical Representative. The role supports the O&M manager across balance-of-plant tasks, including high-voltage systems, inspections, and contractor supervision. Travel up to 25% and outdoor work are required.

The position offers a base pay of $82,000–$103,000 USD annually, plus a 15% bonus potential, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of 34.5 kV and 345 kV systems, protection relays, padmount transformers, and OSHA/NERC requirements.
Experience using CMMS to track equipment records and reporting.
Knowledge of high-voltage tooling and protective equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights.

Responsibilities

Support O&M manager with daily activities of technicians and contractors.
Prepare and implement operating procedures meeting standards and regulatory requirements.
Operate and maintain high voltage electrical equipment.
Climb wind turbine towers and inspect equipment when needed.
Understand Balance of Plant components and drawings.
Maintain inventory, tooling, facilities, equipment and parts.
Identify opportunities for operational and quality improvements.
Assist in preparing proposals, budgets, and labor cost reports.
Evaluate contractor scope and supervise repairs.
Perform inspections and reporting professionally and with minimal oversight.
