Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician (Electro-mechanical) to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial cooling equipment at customer sites in Salt Lake City, Utah.

You will read electrical schematics, replace components, and perform preventive maintenance while delivering professional customer service. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical equipment and is comfortable working in the field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience repairing or maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, HVAC systems, manufacturing equipment, automation systems, compressors, pumps, generators, or similar machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience working on 200-440V electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and service cooling equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Replace faulty parts such as motors, sensors, relays, switches, actuators, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Read electrical wiring diagrams and basic technical drawings.

What We're Looking For

• At least2 years of hands‑on experiencerepairing or maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, HVAC systems, manufacturing equipment, automation systems, compressors, pumps, generators, or similar machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience working on200-440V electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable replacing electrical and mechanical components.
• Able to work independently in the field.

Education

A technical degree, trade school, military training, or vocational training is preferredbut not required.

Candidates with strong hands‑on experience are encouraged to apply even without a college degree.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, bend, kneel, and work at customer locations.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.

Schedule

• Full-time#LI-AT1
• Typically, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts.
• Occasional overtime and on-call support may be required.
