Joseph Michaels International is seeking a union field technician to test, inspect, and maintain electrical power equipment across the upper Midwest. Travel 50–75% with union benefits and pension, and relocate as needed. Roles span Levels I–IV with senior mentoring responsibilities.

You will run HV test equipment, commission installations, and support outages while ensuring safety standards and team leadership.

Qualifications

• NETA certification or electrical experience pursuing certification.
• Power factor or HV testing experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsabilités

• Test, inspect and maintain switchgear, breakers, transformers and cable.
• Run high-voltage test equipment, including power factor test sets.
• Commission new installations and support outages and emergency calls.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and junior techs (senior levels).
