Job summary

Burckhardt Compression US in New Iberia, LA is seeking a Service Technician Lead to oversee field service and maintenance of gas engine compressor packages across multiple sites.

You will lead technicians, train junior staff, coordinate offshore and onshore jobs, and ensure safety, quality, and timely execution. Readiness for travel and strong mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma; vocational training preferred.
• 7+ years of field experience in a related role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Must provide own small hand tools as directed by Operations Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and train a team of Service Technicians.
• Perform field service and maintenance of gas engine compressor packages.
• Coordinate offshore and onshore work as required by the job.
• Provide preventative and corrective field mechanical service at client sites.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, packages, and systems; guide ongoing jobs.
• Overhaul and revamp equipment as needed.
• Communicate project updates to customers as required.
• Assist in equipment start-up/commissioning and training.
