Job summary

Matrix Service in the United States is seeking a Tank and Specialty Vessel Welder to perform welding and grinding per job specs. The role requires reading prints, following welding procedures, and maintaining high accuracy while coordinating with supervision on site.

Welders must pass tests for 9% nickel plate or carbon steel as applicable, hold a valid TWIC card, and be willing to travel and work overtime. The company offers a competitive compensation package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Tank Building experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program and pass background screening.
• Must pass Basic Safety Council courses.
• Must complete Matrix Service basic safety training and site-specific training.
• Must possess or pass a TWIC card.
• Site may require fire retardant clothing.
• Maintain clean shaven for respirator seal.
• Willingness to travel/relocate.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Actively support safety and the Core Values.
• Represent the company with high moral standards per code of conduct.
• Efficiently produce quality welds.
• Assist with fit-up and preparation of welds.
• Assist with post weld cleanup, inspection, and repair.
• Communicate with Field Foreman on site issues.
• Comply with Matrix safety policies and programs.
• Identify hazards and take corrective action.
