Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and diagnostics on equipment and systems. You will generate regular reports, plan maintenance activities with supervision, and ensure safety standards are met in potentially hazardous environments.

The role involves working with test equipment, IT networking, and various instrumentation across pipeline facilities, with responsibilities to restore operations quickly and maintain an adequate spare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent instrument experience.
• Must be able to use test equipment, measuring devices, hand/power tools, digital volt meters, network cabling, crimping, and testing equipment.
• Must have knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Carries out assigned preventive maintenance duties and installation assignments.
• Performs periodic and emergency overhauls and reconditioning of equipment.
• Provides regular verbal and written reports regarding the status of work and assists in planning of individual jobs and maintenance programs.
• Uses test equipment and measuring devices to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Directs and coordinates restoration of circuit outages for minimum down time.
• Investigates and diagnoses reported difficulties to restore equipment and facilities to proper operation.
• Maintains spare parts inventory to prevent lengthy service interruptions.
• Complies with safety regulations and maintains safe working conditions.
