Job summary

TEKsystems in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Telecommunications Technician for a contract-to-hire, fully onsite role. You will install, configure, and maintain low-voltage systems, including door access control, video surveillance, data/fiber cabling, and business phone systems, with TCP/IP networking and basic server knowledge.

This hands-on position offers a structured day, no on-call for six months, and a clear growth path toward an Operations Manager role.

Qualifications

• Entry level role in Lincoln, NE, with hands-on field work.
• Experience with low-voltage cabling, pulling, termination, and rack installation.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with VoIP, access control, and video surveillance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including door access control and video surveillance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and minimize downtime.
• Provide training and support to end-users.
• Pull, terminate, and install low-voltage cabling.
