Job summary

Tech Systems, Inc. is seeking a Low Voltage Security Technician to install, service, and repair access control, video, intrusion, and intercom systems at client sites in Akron, OH.

You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with customers while following safety policies. Requires 2+ years in commercial security, networking skills, and relevant certifications; valid driver’s license and travel flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and 1 year programming access and video systems.
• Must hold security system certifications to work independently.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, Smartsheet, and IT knowledge of IP systems.
• Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls within guaranteed response times and restores systems.
• Installs systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Reads blueprints and schematics.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Identifies revisions, upgrades, and installs independently.
• Communicates with Customer Service and updates tickets.
• Accurately accounts for company inventory and resources.
• Performs Preventive Maintenance inspections.
• Assists with other technical support issues as needed.
• Attends to duties assigned by the Regional Manager or executive staff.
