Job summary

MacAllister CAT's Field Swing EPG is looking for a skilled field technician to service rental power generation units at customer sites. You will perform diesel engine maintenance and electrical diagnostics, with focus on safe, efficient field operations in customer locations.

The role requires CDL A and a DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one, with responsibilities spanning preventive maintenance, risk assessments, and collaboration with senior technicians.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of diesel engine maintenance experience.
• 1–3 years of electrical diagnosis and repair experience preferred.
• CDL A.
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lubricating, oiling, and maintaining equipment in the field at customer locations and may make minor repairs.
• Complete a Field Risk Assessment on every work required.
• Service Letter Updates (Caterpillar sourced) limited to less than one day and not needing a crane or extensive diagnostics.
• Load Banking up to 1250 KW.
• Support EPG Field Technicians on larger jobs.
• Ensure 100% safety compliance. Field Swing EPG will not be utilized in any Emergency Call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lubricating, oiling, and maintaining equipment in the field at customer locations and may make minor repairs.
• Complete a Field Risk Assessment on every work required.
• Can perform Service Letter Updates (Caterpillar sourced) limited to less than one day and not needing a crane and or experienced computer diagnostics.
• Can perform Load Banking up to 1250 KW.
• Support EPG Field Technicians on larger jobs.
• Ensure 100% safety compliance. Field Swing EPG will not be utilized in any Emergency Call rotation.
