Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking an experienced Field Surveyor to support roadway and bridge projects across the United States. You will conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys and operate GNSS receivers, total stations, levels, and drones to collect precise field data.

In this role you will perform construction layout, stakeout, and QA/QC checks, while maintaining survey control networks and producing as-built surveys and digital deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of field surveying; roadway/bridge/heavy civil construction preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Knowledge of machine control models and construction staking; proficiency with AutoCAD or similar survey software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys for roadway alignments and bridges.
• Operate GNSS receivers, total stations, levels, and drones to collect field data.
• Perform construction layout and stakeout for earthwork, structures, utilities, and roadway features.
• Monitor progress and verify compliance with plans and right-of-way limits.
• Perform QA/QC checks on survey data and maintain control networks.
• Process survey data using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, or equivalent software.
• Prepare as-built surveys, volume calculations, and digital deliverables (CSV, DXF, LandXML).
• Supervise and train 2–4 junior survey crew members.
• Support machine guidance operations for dozers, excavators, and grading equipment.
• Maintain daily field notes, logs, and reports for engineers and stakeholders.
