Job summary

Fessler & Bowman Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Surveyor to assist field teams by staking out sites and developing layouts.

Working closely with the Foremen, the Surveyor will aid in keeping customers satisfied and continuing the positive reputation of Fessler & Bowman through production. The role requires reading blueprints, transferring reference points, and coordinating with crews on sidewalks, slabs, and walls, with travel to nearby job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with elevations.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work independently and safely in conjunction with a foreman or project manager to solve problems in the field as needed.
• Experience in leading and managing a crew to produce quality results.
• Providing support to field teams through physical labor and equipment operation.
• Other relevant tasks as assigned.
