Job summary

Russell Marine LLC seeks a Field Engineer to support field operations at marine and railroad project locations. You will survey points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction or repair of terminal and dock facilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires at least 5+ years of field surveying experience, TWIC or ability to obtain, and a strong command of written and spoken English. You may travel to project sites and work with project managers and field crews.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field surveying experience in construction.
  • Must possess TWIC or willing to obtain; valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication; able to present reports.
  • Ability to perform fast and accurate calculations and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

  • Export and analyze drawings and field layout data and provide updates on potential conflicts.
  • Perform topographic and construction surveys for site locations and document pre-existing conditions.
  • Survey and verify location and elevation of foundations and structures for accuracy.
  • Conduct daily inspections of survey equipment and ensure safety regulations compliance.
  • Verify accuracy of material dimensions and 2D/3D CAD model scope.
