Astra Surveying, LLC is seeking a qualified Surveyor to join our Florida team in the Jacksonville area. The role focuses on topographic, boundary, construction staking, and utility surveys, with data collection and field documentation supporting drafting and project delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating with CAD technicians and project managers, verifying data accuracy, and preparing as-built records. A valid license and outdoor work capability are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years survey experience preferred.
• Proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors (e.g., Trimble, Leica).
• Strong understanding of construction staking, plan reading, and field documentation.
• Familiarity with CAD software (Civil 3D or similar) is a plus.
• Ability to interpret site plans, legal descriptions, and engineering documents.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Physically capable of working outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsabilités

• Perform a variety of survey types: topographic, boundary, construction layout, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and more.
• Execute site layouts for buildings, roads, and utilities.
• Establish lines and control points using robotic total stations and GNSS/GPS systems.
• Maintain field notes, sketches, and digital data logs.
• Coordinate with project managers, CAD technicians, and design teams to align data with plans.
• Quality-check staking for horizontal and vertical accuracy.
• Assist in preparing as-built data for final drawing packages and record surveys.
• Adhere to safety standards and company/site requirements.
