Job summary

Astra Surveying is a Florida-based land surveying service focused on construction. We are hiring a Surveyor in the Orlando area to perform topo, boundary, construction staking, and related fieldwork.

You will establish control points using robotic total stations and GNSS, maintain field data logs, and coordinate with CAD teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with project scope. A valid license is required and prior outdoors work is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years survey experience.
• Proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors (Trimble, Leica).
• Strong plan reading and field documentation.
• Familiarity with CAD software (Civil 3D or similar) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of survey types including topo, boundary, construction staking.
• Provide accurate construction staking for site layouts and utilities.
• Establish lines, grades and control points using robotic total stations and GNSS.
• Maintain field notes and digital data logs; collect and upload field data.
• Coordinate with project managers, CAD technicians, and design teams to align field data with project scope.
• Perform quality checks for horizontal and vertical accuracy of staking and measurements.
