Job summary

Nox Group in the United States seeks a Survey Technician to perform field survey, layout and data collection using Trimble RTS and GPS to support construction operations. Under the Survey Superintendent, you ensure layouts for equipment, conduit, trenching, and supports are accurate and aligned with design intent.

You will verify field data, coordinate with BIM/CAD models, maintain equipment, and follow safety procedures while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of survey/layout field work experience.
• Experience with Trimble RTS and GPS data collection.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and BIM/CAD layouts.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field layout activities using Trimble RTS and GPS equipment under the direction of the Survey Superintendent.
• Set up, localize, and maintain survey equipment to project control points and verify calibration accuracy.
• Execute layout tasks for equipment pads, foundation locations, trench routing, depth and slope verification.
• Document openings, racks, hangers, and structural elements requiring layout precision.
• Verify layout accuracy through field checks and BIM/CAD coordination with the VDC team.
• Transfer layout data between Trimble equipment and design models.
• Organize survey data files, control points, and field documentation.
• Report discrepancies to Survey Superintendent or project management for resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of Trimble RTS and GPS equipment; follow safety procedures.
• Attend daily/weekly project meetings to understand upcoming layout needs.
