Job summary

Verdantas in Blue Ash, OH is seeking a Survey Technician to join our growing team. You will assist with field surveys, operate Trimble equipment, and help produce survey reports and drawings for infrastructure projects.

You will work outdoors across varying terrain, supporting field crews with data collection, calibration, and safety practices. The role requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow in surveying.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in land surveying or related field.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude.
• Ability to take direction and support field crews effectively.
• Good communication skills and a reliable teammate.
• Basic understanding of surveying equipment (GPS, total station, data collectors).
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow in surveying.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field surveys to collect data on land features, boundaries, and topography for engineering and land development projects.
• Operate and maintain Trimble survey equipment including GPS units, robotics, and levels.
• Support setup, calibration, and breakdown of survey and field equipment.
• Accurately record and document field data, notes, and measurements for project deliverables.
• Assist in preparing survey reports, maps, and drawings from collected field data.
• Work closely with the Survey Crew Chief and team to complete daily field tasks and project objectives.
• Follow established survey standards, procedures, and project specifications for data accuracy and quality.
• Maintain safety by following company policies and daily field safety practices.
