Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Survey Technician/Instrument Operator to support field crews in boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. You will operate robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, terrestrial 3D laser scanners, and other equipment, while maintaining detailed field notes and traveling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of land survey instruments to support a field crew in their daily operations to gather data for various surveys including boundary, topographic, and construction layout
• Assist in completion of field surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief; communicate progress and address problems
• Operate land survey equipment including robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, data radios/modems, terrestrial 3D laser scanners, automatic and digital levels
• Utilize survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and perform survey computations
• Read and interpret various types of maps and plans
• Complete neat and orderly field notes with accurate measurements for land survey operations with supervision from Crew Chief
• Load and unload trucks with land survey equipment and supplies
• Clean and maintain land survey equipment, tools, and vehicle
• Follow company safety procedures, policies, and practices
